THE MEN WITH THE GUNS

by G. F. Newman (1982)

In 1963 the American President was gunned down in Dallas, Texas. The patsy Oswald had nothing to do with the assassination. Six armed men, operating under six false names, each carrying a false passport, were in Dallas on that fateful day. But not for long. Once their assigned role in the hit was complete, they scattered in all directions. Eleven years later, former Deputy Director of the CIA Wallechinksy has his ambitious eyes set on an ambassadorship in China. Now Wallechinsky must clean house to protect his bright future even before it has arrived. Through cut-outs he hires private detective Jimmy Vanesco. However, each time Vanesco is able to track down a man, he dies shortly thereafter. Vanesco is not killing them off, so who is? As Vanesco gets wise to Wallechinky’s plan, he learns that JFK did not die during the hit. So where is the President? Fiction. 242 pages.
